the new and improved Technorati

TechnoratiIf you own a blog, or if you simply enjoy browsing through other people’s blogs with your morning coffee, chances are you know Technorati. The blog tracker which is already keepings “tags” on an almost 50,000,000 web logs, makes it easy to discover new quality content on what is called the “live web” and the “blogosphere”. Everything that is happening from everyone who writes about it.

With the opportunity of the three years since Technorati’s official incorporation, Dave Sifry made the announcement of Technorati’s new and updated version launch.

I am impressed. What they promise they give. An amazing new design, making it easy to discover all the information you need, in a crystal clear and people friendly user interface. More attention is also given to the individual writers, as in most cases there are indeed people behind the blog posts one reads.

Search is faster (I timed it), and results are better and more often updated along with all other information. Technorati favorites, allow members to keep all their favorite blogs in one place, where they can read all the latest content posted on them. User profiles and blog profiles alike provide much essential information and I’m seeing blog networking capabilities showing up there in the not so distant future. Tools such as bookmarklets and browser add-ons make your own and everyone’s Technorati experience an even more pleasant one.

The clarity of it all, you just have to take it for a test drive. Do that here and let me know how you liked it, if you cannot tell already, I liked it a lot!

If what you’re looking for has ever had the pleasure of being blogged about – you will find it in Technorati. Oh, and did I mention you can add my blog to your favorites here? :D
