Where you at all surprised how FAST all the “good” domain names ending in .eu were “taken” after the .eu suffix hit the market?

Well, it appears more than 74,000 domain names have been warehoused (taken in order to sell later at a higher price) by the very registrars the domain’s administrative body EURid authorized to sell .eu domains. An apparent breach of contract, which EURid is not going to let go… Good for them! I hope all 74,000 domains are back on the market again soon - so maybe I can grab one :D

Read all about it here.

I certainly hope they come out on the market, I was outdone on several domains I was chasing, even odd ones that I was certain I would get, a number of them by a certain company in Germany. Blah!

Man I think I know exactly which company you are talking about! However, I also think they were just asking people to research domain availability and then they’d grab the domains for their own use when .eu opened. Right about when I was starting to forgive the Germans for wwII.. then again I could just be too suspicious.
