As I blog this post, I am walking down Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco. At the same time I am sitting at a desk in Athens. And I am being honest.

One of the newest additions to Google’s already wonderful Google Maps is the “Street View” feature. Clicking on this button is made available on several locations across the United States already. Doing so makes certain streets appear with a blue outline. Clicking on any of the blue streets will transport you to “Street View” which pretty much simulates you actually being there. Making use of interactive, 360 degree view, high resolution photography.

You can walk up and down a street, turn around, zoom in. It is the next best thing to actually being there. Google, has once again made a nice video on YouTube to introduce this new feature on the Maps service, which you can watch below. Enjoy ;)
