Stevie RyanA while ago, I posted here about LittleLoca, a video-blog character created by actress Stevie Ryan, who first appeared on YouTube. Well, I guess talent, hard work and perseverance actually do pay off. She created an array of fictional characters and acted out video blogs for them, generating a lot public interest over the past year or so, including a considerable amount of mainstream media attention. According to this post on The Underwire:

Stevie Ryan, AKA Little Loca, has become the first YouTube discovery to get her own network TV show. She’ll co-host reality-based “Online Nation,” the CW announced Thursday. The half-hour series will showcase user-generated clips found on the YouTube, Revver and other sites.

Congrats to Stevie, and what a brilliant idea for a TV show. There so much content out there on viral video sites that deserves to also be seen by people who don’t know how to operate a computer.
